The key to having flawless skin is consistency and your at-home skincare products. It’s important for the skincare products you are using fit your skin type and ingredients are geared to help you meet your skincare goals. Beware of ingredients to prevent an allergic reaction.
What Every Skincare Routine Should Include
Apply your cleanser twice a day AM and PM. The purpose of the cleanser is to balance the skin PH. Benefits remove make-up and clean pores; softens dry skin; correct some skin problems.
Toners are used after cleaning your skin. To remove any residue from other skincare products i.e., cleansers. Use twice a day.
Exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells. When this step is performed you will notice your skin is smoother. Benefits it cleans the follicle openings; it is a deep pore cleanser; help skin retain moisture and improve lipids. Use once or twice a week depending on skin sensitivity.
Apply a mask. Masks will have you glowing and looking flawless. Depending on skin type and conditions various mask are used. For example, vitamin C is used for anti-aging and as a dark spot correct. Benefits of using a mask is to tighten and tone, draw impurities, hydrate, clear blemishes, calm and soothe, rejuvenate and brighten the complexion. Masks can be applied once a week after exfoliating.
Serums are used to target or correct a specific skin concern. This is applied under the moisturizer.
Moisturize your skin. A moisturizer is used to hydrate and nourish your skin. Apply one to two times a day.
Protect your skin by applying sunscreen (SPF)once a day. Sunscreen protects the skin from UV rays. Depending on the sunscreen block and instructions you may have to apply frequently throughout the day. I hope this helped you.
